Quad Fan Motor Assembly (No Kit No Grill) EF10-4MA
$230.00
The quad fan motor assembly is used to upgrade a tc passive vent to an active ventilation system whereby the motor assembly is placed behind the existing vent which can be done without the use of flexible ducting. If the house is of sandstone construction whereby the external vent has a shaft leading back into the subfloor the quad fan motor assembly can be installed at the base of the shaft hence turning the passive vent into an active ventilation system. This is done by by attaching perforated band iron onto the back of the motor assembly in the middle and securing it by pop rivets near the chassis edge. With the tails of the perforated extending from the chassis, line up the chassis onto the back of the vent and mark the fixing holes (in the sub-floor area) onto the brick work then drill 6.5mm holes to accept green wall plugs then screw into place. A bead of silicone can be placed around the motor assembly and finished off with index finger.
- 6.5m3 (6,500 litres) @ 7.5v of damp air extracted from your sub-floor per minute 30dba@1m.
-
- 7.5m3 (7,500 litres) @ 12v of damp air extracted from your sub-floor per minute.
- Quiet operation at only 30db@1m.
- Reversible fan blades to change modes from negative to positive pressure.
- Long life – fully serviceable.
- An unobtrusive design that is aesthetically pleasing and will not detract from your home.
- 30dba at 1 metre (this can be likened to a 1/3 the noise rating of a modern refrigerator)
- Is the quietest sub floor ventilation system in the marketplace.
This unit is packaged as a quad fan motor assembly and does come with connectors to connect to the ventilation system.
The quad fan system can be attached to a tc (terra-cotta) vent by the use of perforated band iron which is attached at the centre of the chassis by pop rivets and secured to the brick wall in the sub-floor by raw plugs and screws then finished off by a bead of silicone around the motor chassis. This can change a normal passive tc (terra-cotta) vent into a fan-forced ventilation system.
