The Envirofan Quad fan motor assembly (2 brick high (172mm) x 1 brick wide (232mm)is used for clients who want to use their existing vents but change their operation from passive to fan-forced.

Installation is done by placing the quad fan motor assembly behind the vent and securing it with perforated band iron, raw plugs, screws and silicone.

The appearance of the dwelling would appear as normal however certain vents would be now operating as a fan-forced system.

Description

The quad motor assembly kit can be used to change a passive tc (terra-cotta vent) into a fan-forced ventilation system. If the house sandstone construction whereby the external vent has a shaft leading back into the subfloor the quad fan motor assembly can be installed at the base of the shaft hence turning the passive vent into an active ventilation system. This is done by by attaching perforated band iron onto the back of the motor assembly in the middle and securing it by pop rivets near the chassis edge. With the tails of the perforated extending from the chassis, line up the chassis onto the back of the vent and mark  the fixing holes (in the sub-floor area) onto the brick work then drill 6.5mm holes to accept green wall plugs then screw into place. A bead of silicone can be placed around the motor assembly and finished off with index finger.
